Glauber T. Silva (CNPq research fellow) has been conducting research in microfluidics since 2014. He is an expert on microparticle and cell manipulation in acoustofluidics, which combines microfluidics and acoustics. He received B.Sc. and M. Sc. in physics (1997, 1999) from the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. He has a Ph.D. in computer science (2003) from the Federal University of Pernambuco/Mayo Clinic, USA. He did a post-doc at Mayo Clinic (2003) and later in the National Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (Brazil, 2007) in fluid dynamics. He was a visiting professor at the Technical University of Denmark (2013), associate researcher at the University of Bristol (Royal Society, 2017-2019), and visiting researcher (Chair Total) at ESPCI Paris Tech (2019). He is associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonic Ferroelectric and Frequency Control and Applied Acoustics. He is a board member of the USWNet Society (Ultrasonic Standing Wave Network). Currently, he is an associate professor in the Department of Physics, Federal University of Alagoas, Brazil.
